Rant about a tap and run: please look out for us cyclists

I know sometimes we are hard to see as we arent as flashy as cars (not as big of headlights, if any, much smaller) but please take a second to look to see if we are there. On monday I was biking to work. Some guy cut me off when I was trying to get into the turn lane, so I think “no big deal hes trying to turn and just didnt see me.” This guy then proceeds to try to make a U turn that he absolutely cannot make feet from the intersection. When he is turned around as much as possible, he stops for a second and I see cars behind me try to pass so I try to pass as well since there is a green light. I wave to the driver and bike past a bit in my lane and suddenly this dude lurches back and knocks me on the ground, then speeds off. Anyways please check before backing up into traffic, especially if it seems like there is no one there. Im fine they just bumped me enough to knock me off my bike (hence calling it a tap and run) but it was scary so please be careful out there. I like to think im a pretty considerate biker and do my best to make myself visible and stay out of the way as much as possible, but there is only so much I can do to make myself visible when biking in my work uniform. Sidenote: thank you to the kind seattlites at the intersection of Broadway and Pine Monday around 6:30 pm who asked if I was okay and fuck you to the driver who just drove off
