Totally out of curiosity. I just watched a Frasier episode where they compete to join an ultra swanky club, the kind with high-backed leather chairs, smoking jackets and rare expensive spirits. Just wondering if anything like this actually exists?
I’ve only heard of a few; The Broadmoor (which I understand is more of an exclusive high-end golf country club) and The Rainier Club, which is seems more like a high-end events space for weddings, etc, and The Ruins, which is also now an event space.
Are there any silly snobby clubs where ultra rich opera-going sorts just sit around being wealthy at each other?
