It recently came to my attention that there are many young people in and around this city who are woefully unaware of TeenTix: https://www.teentix.org/
Basically, as long as you are between 13-19, you can get a pass from this organization that you present at ticket counters and box office windows across the city for $5 tickets. I’m talking museums and theatres big and small, the opera, ballet, improv, etc. It’s really great if you’re looking for things to do besides doomscroll, but don’t have a ton of cash.
