It seems we’ve got a group going neighborhood by neighborhood stealing spare tires off any car that has it accessible from the exterior (on the rear, underneath). A few friends of mine have been hit so far, mostly around the cap hill area. I had no idea this was a crime some folks found worth their time, apparently it is. We’ve reported the incidents to police, though this probably doesn’t even register on their priority list.
I’d hate to have anyone head out on a long trip without realizing their spare was missing.
