I just got a call from a blocked number. I ignored it, and got a voicemail that was very compelling. It’s a man’s voice that is almost imperceptibly distorted. He has a rural American accent, exactly like you’d expect of a Sheriff, which is what he claims to be. He says he is in Snohomish County, and gives the name of a real sheriff there, you can see his linkedin. I live in Seattle and have no business there. He uses my full name, and says a “confidential legal matter” has arisen that needs my “immediate attention.” He leaves a local number to call back, but nothing comes up if you google the number. Be careful, everyone! Has anyone else received a voicemail like this?
