Yep, they started cutting it down today despite at least two active nests in the tree and despite plans to move the tree to the park. (Yes, the Parks Dept had agreed to take it, and yes there was a solid funding plan.) So unnecessary! A big middle finger to the neighborhood, the city, and everyone who cares about the climate crisis and environment. The building lobby can’t hide behind density arguments for this one.
