I really need to draw your attention to the ferry in the upper left. It’s Memorial Day Weekend, so you already know what we’re going to say: Expect heavy traffic everywhere. While we pause most of our highway construction work during the holiday weekend, you should expect delays on the road because there’s (gestures broadly) a LOT going on. A few tips: – All four lanes of the I-90 Vantage Bridge will be OPEN Friday, May 23, through Sunday, June 1. – SR 410 Chinook Pass and SR 123 Cayuse Pass are slated to re-open for the season by Friday morning, May 23. Mount Rainier National Park has a project in progress to repair sections of SR 123 that adds about 30 minutes of travel time, seven days a week, through October. – Taking your vehicle on the state ferries? It’ll be you and your 300,000 closest friends, so expect longer wait times. Plan ahead! All good? Now everyone look Sammy the Sounder in the eye (the cold, unstaring eye) and tell him you’ll leave early, check the maps in advance and pack your patience because we’re all in this together. Safe travels! Here’s a more “professional” version for those who prefer things to be “legible” submitted by /u/wsdot |
