Dog passed away yesterday. Where does one go to get rid of pet med and donate used dog toys/gear?

Long story short, my dog passed away peacefully at home yesterday. While I am here processing my grief, I just wonder where does one go to dispose of used pet meds, donate unused pet meds, donate used dog toys/gear? It feels weird to just throw them away, but I would like the opportunity to at least give them away where they can still be in use. If you know of any local charities, that’d be great.
