I’m shocked by how many men don’t wash their hands after using the bathroom.

Lately, I’ve been going to the grocery store more often, and as an adult male, something has really shocked me: the number of men who walk out of the restroom without washing their hands after peeing. Not even a rinse. They just zip up and leave. Most of them are middle-aged. I’ve seen this happen at places like Costco, QFC, and Target—but rarely at Whole Foods (not paid content).

It’s honestly gross when you think about it. These are the same hands that just touched their genitals—maybe even got urine on them—and now they’re touching food items, fruits and veggies, shopping carts, door handles… everything.

Because of this, I’ve developed a habit: after I buy groceries, I either throw away the outer packaging or rinse the items before putting them away. I just don’t trust where those hands have been.

Has anyone else noticed this?
