Use of King County “Transfer and Recycling Stations”

I live in King County. The big windstorm from last month knocked down an old fence and I want to haul it away. Since I enjoy yard work, I am thinking of breaking down this wooden fence into the planks and pieces and disposing of it.

The plan would be to toss the debris into the truck and take it to the local transfer station – maybe Factoria.

The question – has any one visited one of these transfer stations – I presume they would accept wood, but I’ve never visited before and not sure what to expect, and of course would hate to load up a truck with nowhere to go
