Celebrate the Improvements at Good Turn Park in Eastlake!

Seattle Department of Transportation invites community to celebrate the improvements to E Martin St / A.K.A. Good Turn Park

When: Friday, June 27th from noon to 2 p.m.

Where: E Martin St shoreline street end / Good Turn Park | Address: 3201R Fairview Ave E

  • Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is excited to welcome the community to their newly improved public shore! The E Martin St shoreline street end also known locally a Good Turn Park will open soon and all are invited to the ribbon cutting celebration on Friday, June 27th from noon to 2 p.m. We are hosting the opening celebration in collaboration with East Lake Community Council and Eastlake RE Partners.
  • These improvements provide neighbors a new space to gather, enjoy the water, and build community. They provide new sidewalks, benches, loading zone for hand carried boaters and others, stormwater improvements, and native landscaping. The new sidewalks improve accessibility for all, and the swale cleans and infiltrates stormwater on its journey to Lake Union. We installed a curb ramp connecting across the street to another new curb ramp, stair climb, and stormwater gardens located in E Martin Street. Eastlake RE Partners voluntarily installed the improvements across the street as part of their recently completed Flow Eastlake apartment building. Combined these improvements provide an important connection from the J Line Rapid Ride underneath I-5 traversing the steep hill and continuing to the shore of Lake Union.
