I have lived in Seattle for about 10 years now. I recently lost my sales job and long term relationship and am considering moving elsewhere. The question is whether I’m being rational or simply running away.
My main concern is that on an average salary of 55 to 65k I wouldn’t be able to save much money paying the ridiculously high rent here. It would be half my salary to own nothing. I could go out to fall city but then I’d be commuting in the horrible traffic.
I’m trying to make a decision that’s not purely based in fantasy and was hoping for suggestions on where to move. Id prefer not to be in 100 degree heat, but I can tolerate cold pretty well.
