We are currently dealing with a horrible leak from an old washing machine. By the time we got home from our weekend trip and found it, the water had flooded our laundry and kitchen and soaked down to the basement. All the drywall, trims and flooring is shot. Insurance has recommended we call one of their recommended mitigation companies, but last time we went with the insurance rec, they tore our house apart, demolished things that were not even damaged, and then did sub par reconstruction work. Does anyone know of a local company that can do mitigation and actually do quality reconstruction? We have a unique architectural style and nice carpentry and trim work, we want to keep the original integrity of the house.
