Spoke out against racism yesterday, fired today
REPOST (I’m Mexican America) So yesterday I was at work and lately I’ve been noticing some things that they made me do but none of the white servers had to do. Like being turned into a busser for a few shifts. Well I earned my serving shifts back but yesterday they changed it to a bussing shift. I didn’t even complain. And yesterday at work I just felt like she was bagging on me for any and everything. But she wasn’t going after any of the white employees when they did the same thing. She yelled at me to wear my Apron while bussing and I didn’t even disagree with her but my coworker also wasn’t wearing her apron and she didn’t say one word to her. Plus I’m not the new guy anymore, if they need a bussing shift covered they can ask the 3 new people they hired (all white people mind you) to do that but they didn’t. Even my Chef said that was fucked up and that he’s seen the way they talk to the other Latinos in the place. Also found out that several of my Coworkers are red hats and I think my boss is one of them. She’s from Indiana so it wouldn’t surprise me. So if you’re thinking of applying here do not. Anyway I mentioned it to my boss and stated why I felt that way and then the next day I was fired for having a bad attitude. I will be filing charges of discrimination against them. Just curious if Any former employees of this place experienced the same thing.
