Believe it or not, this house in the Alki District is Seattle’s oldest structure and only surviving pre-Civil War building, the David Swinson “Doc” Maynard House, constructed 1860 on Alki Point, moved to Alki Beach most likely during the 1880s, then relocated 1905 to current location on 64th Ave SW:
