The buzz of the new Waterfront is a vibe.

In the 30 days since I last visited, there’s so many new additions. Love the kids park, the swings by the ferry terminal, the many stalls and pop ups, the waterfront shuttle, the fountains, relatively clean restrooms and got myself a ice cream from Molly Moons (sidenote – I’m still disappointed about their past lack of support for bike lanes when now benefiting from the crowds that come from one). I love waiting under the new aquarium entrance to see the Manta Rays and Sharks swim by!

The waterfront is alive. This past spring I attended many of the historical walks organized by the friends of the waterfront park and learnt about the history of the area dating back 200 years. Just makes me so proud to see the city and all related organizations put in the effort to create spaces people want to frequent.

Here’s hoping for even more nature, trees and all things green planted along the waterfront trail.
