What’s the deal with Century Link / Quantum Fiber? Prices going up $5 every year and my rate is now $85

I thought Century Link was supposed to be a fantastic provider. To be fair, they’ve been pretty good at providing their service. The sneaky $5 increase every year has resulted in me going from $65 in mid 2022 to $85 in 2025.

I just called in to get my price pushed back to their market rate of $75. It’s nice that they allowed me to get this, but I hate having to call in potentially yearly to ensure my price doesn’t get pushed above the market rate.
