The past few days I’ve heard a strange, croaking bird call when in my backyard that I haven’t heard before. Merlin Bird ID app says it is a raven, and it does sound similar to videos I’ve looked up. I know theoretically they are in this part of the country but I haven’t ever seen one—might it be a raven, or is there another bird with a similar call?
