Minor venting about the bike path on the waterfront

So before the bike path opened nobody was happy because the bikes and scooters aren’t fast enough for the main road but pedestrians would be upset if the bikes and scooters were on the sidewalk.

Jump forward to now with the waterfront park reopened and the bike path open. Why am I still seeing bikes and scooters on the promenade and why am I seeing pedestrians walking down the bike path somewhat regularly. Neither situation is safe because the bikes going down the promenade are having to weave through crowds of people, and the people walking on the bike path (not at an intersection) make bikes/scooters have to hit the brakes in order to avoid hitting you)

Also, to the obnoxious guys I saw last weekend, why on earth were you acting like you were trying to run oncoming bikes/scooters off the path instead of being mature and sharing the path like normal people?
