Husband and I live in a house we bought ages ago in a Seattle neighborhood we couldn’t afford to move into now, but here we are. We’ve always had a separate earthquake insurance policy (in addition to homeowner’s) in case the Big One comes and knocks our house down. Premium keeps going up, next year’s will be nearly $2000. It’s a lot of money. We are in disagreement about continuing this policy. Anyone else keep an earthquake insurance policy here and if so, can you convince me to keep paying for mine?
