Long story short, I came came home late one night from a 2 week vacation only to find someone parked in my reserved covered spot that I pay for. I had luggage to carry up, so I was not a happy camper at 1am and there weren’t any open spots close to my building so I took a gamble and parked where we aren’t supposed too but the office crew doesn’t show up until 9am. I see headlights come on around 6am becaause it’s in front of my unit and I have bad insomnia so I was awkake and it caught my attention. Grabbed my keys to reclaim my spot as soon as they pulled out (I recognized the vehicle as it stands out and has always parked in the free uncovered spots so they knew better). The guy saw me pull in as soon as soon as he pulled out and actually backed up to confront me and ask me why I was “stealing” his spot. Initially he was being a bit agressive, I explained it has been my spot for a few years now and I pay for it every month and the parking number is registered to me in my lease, he asked me if I was sure about that, like WTF? I just responded if you want to discuss it with the front office then i’m more than happy to. That seemed to shut him up pretty quick but I couldn’t believe the balls on this guy. I think because he saw the spot empty for several days he decided to just take it. Anyone else experince this type of thing and how did you handle it?
