My partner and I live downtown. We have a dog and have grown extremely frustrated with Rover. Each time we try to book a sitter for our dog, we run into the same problem: We put in a request with someone who says they’re available, only to get a cancelation or rejection hours or even days later with a message along the lines of, “Sorry, I’m not available” or, “Is it okay if there are other dogs here?” when their profile specifically states they only care for one dog at a time.
We’ve had to scramble last minute, more than once, because Rover sitters are unreliable and dishonest in their profiles about availability or number of dogs. Our dog is a 12 pound rescue who is wary of other dogs; we aren’t leaving him with dogs we don’t know.
Has anyone had luck with alternatives to Rover we can try?
