I’ve lived in Seattle my whole life, but lately it feels more transient and lonelier than ever. Making friends is tough, and dating (even in the gay community) feels like running into the same cliques over and over again.
When I travel to other cities, socializing feels natural and open, but back here it often feels exclusive and closed-off. People call it the “Seattle Freeze,” but is that still what’s happening or is the city slowly changing?
Do you think Seattle is actually building more community these days, or is it still just as hard as ever to connect with people?
