I’m an avid cafe junkie. I’m also dairy-free. With that being said I know my options are more limited than most. But in a city like Seattle, where dietary restrictions are recognized more often than not. I’ve noticed that almost every café: vegan, dairy free, or otherwise is carrying Macrina pastries. Now, I wouldn’t have an issue with it if the pastries were good. But they’re all dry, overly glutenous(tough) and overall underwhelming. Especially if you’re caught with the only option of a raspberry oat scone. This one is basically Seattle’s Hail Mary for a cop out vegan pastry option. I don’t understand it? It’s like one of the worst pastries I’ve ever had lol.
I’ve has some seriously great allergy, sensitive pastries here! Like Red Wing Café has an insanely delicious almond croissant. That’s totally vegan. As well as Cafe Flora’s bangin cinnamon roll. I could go on, there a decent list. But by far the majority of Cafés carry Macrina. Has anyone else noticed this?
