Who’s got the Satsumas?!

Years ago Satsumas were easy to find this time of year.

Now the big chain grocery stores are chock full of imposters like “cuties” and other such crummy substitutes.

If you’re not up to speed, Satsumas are delicious small oranges, a cross between the mandarin and pomelo. They have loose rinds that make them very easy to peel. They are sweet and delicious, and never have any seeds.

But they are strictly a holiday orange—traditionally only available in December and January.

I’m sure I’m just falling victim to corporate shenanigans from Kroger et al, who’s got the Satsumas in Seattle?!

Once we find them I implore everyone to go buy a box.
