Katie was 100% correct, and I say this as someone who was never planning on voting for her. (I was going to vote for Harrell but now I am voting for no one).
She is correct that Harrell gives away tons of money to activists groups to keep them in the fold. And while I don’t believe she was insinuating “race” on that count she would be correct too. 80% of EDI money goes to black people. More money is earmarked directly to the black community then every other demographic COMBINED.
It’s weird that progressives openly critique the power of “the Jewish lobby” on both an international level and local (esp on the east coast where talking about the orthodox Jewish voting block and how they are pandered to is openly discussed in the mainstream media).
Why is it taboo to talk about how taxpayer money is used to win over some demographics and lobby groups in Seattle- whether it’s racial demographics and lobby groups or not?
