Lake City was my first home away from my homestate when I moved here in 2013 for my new job with UW and a new life. And one of major reasons I choice Lake Shity was the one block sway convenience of Fred Myers made from apt complex. It was so easy for me to supply and feed myself and not have to drive at all. Not to mention, when my wife immigrated from Japan 5 years ago, Fred Myers made it very easy for her to simply walk over and get food as well as gardening and home decor as she settled in her new life and world as she did not have driver’s license. We left Lake city 2 years ago due to horrible apt complex ownership change from GreyStar along with homeless people issues. But now we Freds going away on top of it, we would be really struggling to find reason to say and I can’t imagine what all those poor older and disabled people are going to do in just a few weeks, especially those family’s in subsidized housing with no car are really gonna be hurting.
