Greater Seattle Jewish Voter Guide makes endorsements in Bellevue

Bellevue

City of Bellevue, Council Position No. 1

Paul Clark all the way! An ally who is endorsed by Wa4Future (the Jewish PAC), fights Jew-hating graffiti, as well as a smart business type who will keep away the controversial low-barrier housing that causes safety issues in Seattle. This is a CLOSE race so Clark needs every bit of support he can get.

City of Bellevue, Council Position No. 2

We’ll be voting for Conrad Lee, who is endorsed by Wa4Future (the Jewish PAC). He’s a long fixture in Bellevue politics, with deep experience in working with immigrant communities and defending minorities. He signed the Jewish Federation’s letter on antisemitism.

City of Bellevue, Council Position No. 4

Vote Jared Nieuwenhuis. We’ll just leave his own statement here – “I led efforts to fully fund our police department, establish Bellevue’s transit police unit, and launch the Keep Bellevue Beautiful initiative to tackle graffiti, litter, and abandoned shopping carts. I’ve also served as a regional voice in the fight against antisemitism, championed Bellevue’s Environmental Stewardship Plan, and advocated for innovative housing solutions that protect affordability while preserving neighborhood character.” He signed the Jewish Federation’s letter on antisemitism.

City of Bellevue, Council Position No. 5

Claire Sumadiwirya is the only serious candidate in this race, running for reelection. She is a practically-minded small business owner invested in the city, while also having progressive policy ideas. She signed the Jewish Federation’s letter on antisemitism.

City of Bellevue, Council Position No. 6

Lynne Robinson is the incumbent, has the experience needed to run a big city, and outraised all her other opponents in this race by orders of magnitude. Endorsed by Wa4Future (the Jewish PAC), she is a small business owner and medical professional. She signed the Jewish Federation’s letter on antisemitism. The other candidate, Nicole Myers, is new on the scene and we weren’t able to find enough information on her that could distinguish her views from Lynne.
