Seattle driving has gotten progressively worse since rto happened

As someone who is a daily commuter from Everett to West Seattle for a few years now because of my job, I have to say something, it’s been getting worse and worse over the years. Here are things that used to be something that occasionally happened but now just happen every single day.

1. People who refuse to miss an exit. These people will just sit there on an active highway not caring if they cause a devasting accident in order to get over to the exit lane. Like fully pulled over with their signal on until another person stops for them so they can move over. If you do this, please stop using the highway, you can set your Google maps to avoid the highway.

2. People who refuse to speed up to meet the flow of traffic when entering the highway with no other cars in front. This causes traffic. I have started honking at people like this because it’s more dangerous for you to attempt to enter at 40mph than it is at 60mph. Again if you’re afraid of the highway, please don’t use it. You are actively putting people in danger.

3. People cruising in between the lane/lane splitting in their car. I don’t care if people lane split on bikes, I try to make room if I can. I don’t blame you. Stop lane splitting in your prius, pick a lane to be in.

4. Left lane campers have gotten so much worse. It’s like they enjoy causing traffic, bonus points for the people who tailgate them. All you’re doing is making them go slower out of spite because they feel entitled to cause traffic. Just start honking, it’s may feel dirty but it’s the only way to shame them. They usually move after honking from my experience.
