Just saw something on the bus that really boiled my asparagus

So I’m on the 12 towards Interlaken and this guy gets on at some point through the back door – kind of skinny white dude in his 60s, salt and pepper hair, very ‘punk’ clothing aesthetic (notably, black skinny jeans he was wayyy too old to pull off with braiding/lacing detail down the legs). Apparently he vaped either as he was getting on or after he got on the bus, because the driver (a black guy in his 40s or 50s) called out to him and told him not to smoke on the bus. Withered Punk argues and says he wasn’t smoking, he was vaping, the driver says he doesn’t care, don’t do that, they escalate until Withered Punk screams that the driver is being an asshole and the driver (who is fuming but really trying to keep his cool) manages to de-escalate after that because the fucker is obviously willing to fight for his imaginary right to vape on the bus. Withered Punk sits down in the disabled seating up front and shuts up.

Then we get to E Pine and 15th, Withered Punk gets up, stands in front of the partition for a second until the driver reluctantly pulls it back so he can get out the front. Withered Punk takes a hit off his vape, yanks the partition out and breathes it in the driver’s face and gets off the bus, crossing E Pine while maintaining aggressive eye contact with the driver. Our poor driver sits there for a minute, then gets off the bus, does a couple laps around the back and gets back on in silence.

I got off a couple stops after that as he was on the horn with dispatch(?) probably reporting it, and immediately sent in a commendation to KC Metro for how he handled it.

Anyways. Withered Punk probably won’t see this but if he does: you’re a chode and you should be banned from riding the bus permanently and forced to detox off nicotine. Fuck you, cunt.
