Dealing with some serious seasonal affective disorder, need a way to make friends.

All on my own out here as a transplant, got no family or friends. I’m a pretty sedentary guy, most of my interests are media-based. Film, shows, books, video games, music. I also have some interest in progressive causes and labor rights so volunteering for causes related to those could be worth doing.

How can I make friends around here? I’m not really into the board game scene, for the record. People always recommend that.
