Hi yalll! I put in my 20 day notice to vacate my apartment on December 3rd and I (wrongly) assumed that I had until the end of the month to pay the lease break fee. Anyway, first the PM told me that I have “ten days to pay it before it goes to collections” and today I got a “pay or vacate in 14 days” notice on my door.. this all feels wrong..
Anyone have any insight on this? I’m pretty overwhelmed. I’m going to call a lawyer tomorrow.
