A plea to downtown Bellevue delivery service customers

Please tip generously this week. Navigating downtown Bellevue through the Holiday Rush is a nightmare in terms of time. We delivery drivers, instacart, doordash, Uber, eats, GrubHub etc., get paid by the task and not by time. When we sign up to get paid $7 to $8 for a delivery from a restaurant to your downtown location. Usually that is about $21 an hour for us. At this time of year it’s more like $7 or $8 an hour because of having to navigate all the traffic that goes under the Bellevue square Mall.

With little exception at the moment, I decline all orders going into downtown Bellevue because I simply do not pay enough on an hourly rate because of the traffic problem
