Restaurants I loved.

I don’t think these restaurants are around but they were special to me

  1. The Surrogate Hostess. This restaurant was on 19th ave on Capital Hill. The restaurant had long blond wood tables such that everyone sat at the same table. They had good food and it was a family vibe

  2. The Last Exit. This was a cafe that served yummy apple pie and vanilla ice cream. They had open mike night and anyone could perform. Very hippy. Someone gave me free acid in the parking lot

  3. Kiku. This was on the ave towards 50Th. They had Tonkatsu pork cutlets that were really good

4.The Hunt Club at the Sorrento Hotel. I worked there and got introduced to gay culture there. A great time

  1. Dicks drive in. Cheap good food…still now too.

6.Julias on Eastlake. I used to go here for brunch. Then beer and pool in afternoon if friends were up for it

7.Tai Tung. My parents would drag me there as a kid. I refused but once I sat down and go to eating it was super yummy. I also remember using the spoons as a sort of trough to drink th soup.

  1. Casa You Betcha. This was a restaurant that was a nightclub too. They served good Mexican and my friend who worked there said the owners funded the restaurant with proceeds from coke sales as they would give away very nice presents during staff appreciation parties.
