was at pike place yesterday and saw a guy acting really weird with his phone, basically scanning people’s faces as they walked by. i asked my roommate who works at amazon and he thinks the guy was probably using face seek to find people’s socials or vet them in real time.
i tried it on myself when i got home and found a pic of me from a local news story i was in 5 years ago. it’s crazy that in a tech city like seattle, we have zero anonymity even in a crowd. watch out for people acting weird with their cameras they might be searching u before u even pass them….
