A few days ago during the day there was an aggressive knock at the door. Then again. I went downstairs and looked out the door, nobody there. I looked sideways to the driveway and a guy was standing there on the driveway. I opened the door and got the standard “i noticed your chimney, I’m doing some work for your neighbors across the street…”. Oh, you mean my neighbors with brand new houses and no chimneys? That’s OK, I have a guy. A bit more chit chat as he tried to find an angle. Irish accent, so very consistent with the “Irish Travelers” scammers. He has dark hair and a beard, I’d say mid 30s. Be careful out there and don’t truck with these fly-by-night “contractors”.
