Racing car took down power pole on SE 44TH WAY on 2/8 2AM

Yet another example of street racing and immature car culture casing havoc in our neighborhoods. Cars were racing on 164TH/Lakemont Blvd/Newport Way last night into the early morning. One of those cars is a BMW tinted windows with obscured license plate on back (none of front). It hit a power pole and took out power for the neighborhood in the early morning. Luckily PSE was out quickly to bring power back to the neighborhood, and luckily the idiot didn’t hit another car.

BPD needs to put a stop to this and continue increased patrols, trespassing car meets from large parking lots like Factoria and Crossroads Mall as well as the Park and Rides, and impound repeat offenders. And parents in our neighborhood need to tell their children who partake in racing culture to stop. Several of us have been looking into the organizers of these racing events, and while many are from down south or up north, some are kids from Bellevue (Instagram account eto.sema for example who is hosting a meet in Factoria Mall on 2/13 8-10PM which will likely bring loud noise and racing.
