I’m just a weird artist/designer and the last year has been hard for me. I’ve had multiple jaw surgeries, developed terrible social anxiety / agoraphobia because of my face, and it’s just been a lonely time all around. A lot of my friends kept on keeping on so I started turning to learning more about sports (with YT channels like Secret Base, etc). It also helped that my husband worked at Ebbets Fields Flannels before they sold out to Lids.
Everything I learned just made me excited. The way Mariners games are just fun, win or lose. I love that!! I got to go to my first Mariners game, and what a beautiful time. I started to follow soccer, and already loved hockey so I started learning about football! I just wanted to say that yesterday and the parade was a bit of a test for me and the crowd just made me want to keep being near you all!
The energy was infectious and everyone was so kind. I am so proud to call this city home.
Excited and hopeful to see more Mariners games, and go to my first games for the other teams in the future.
Thank you for the fun, the smiles, and something positive to focus on while I recover!
