Kitchen designer thoughts/consultant

We are remodeling our kitchen & great room, and don’t want to hire a design-build remodel company (2 design-builders quoted is $100,000 just to pull & replace cabinets, not changing layout at all. #&%@ that). My wife and I have been spending a lot of time on a free floor planning website to do our own kitchen/great room combination, but we’d like to talk to a designer for a few hours to make sure we didn’t miss anything.

Having a really hard time finding an independent person. Looked at fiverr and a few other online places, but they seem to focus on providing pictures & 3d renderings, not advice as to layout/flow/placement.

Does anyone have any recommendations of a kitchen layout designer (Seattle area) that will work hourly to give feedback? Again, we DON’T want a design-build firm, we’ve done a lot of starting legwork ourselves, we just want a professional set of eyes to make sure “hey – don’t stick the fridge there – you’ll hate it how every time you open it it blocks the flow of traffic”.
