HEADS UP: Eastbound State Route 18 will close from 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, between Issaquah-Hobart Road and Interstate 90 as part of the I-90/SR 18 Interchange Improvements project.
Before anyone asks, “why this one random night?” this is prep work. During the closure, crews will install new overhead message signs and get the roadway ready for three upcoming extended weekend closures that will include paving and striping.
Think of this as the “getting ready” phase before the bigger lifts.
Passenger vehicles should use alternate routes. Issaquah-Hobart Road and city streets in Issaquah are NOT suitable for freight.
Trucks should detour using SR 169, I-405, or I-90.
Plan for added travel time if you’re traveling in the area.
