Advice I’m looking for a room as a 40 year old?

I’m a 40-year-old male currently facing a bit of a housing challenge and could really use some advice. I’ve been trying to find a room to rent in the city, but it seems like my age is becoming a barrier. Most responses stop or turn into polite declines once they learn I’m 40, and it’s been tough to secure a place.

Living in a minivan is proving costly with expenses like eating out and charging devices. It’s actually more expensive than renting a room at this point. I’ve never had such a hard time finding a room until now, and I feel like I’m hitting a wall.

Does anyone have tips or resources for finding rooms in Seattle, especially for those of us who might not fit the typical renter profile? I’m open to all suggestions and would love to hear about any co-living communities or alternative housing options. Thanks in advance!
