Lifetime PNW resident here. I’ve noticed the trash on the highways and I-5 getting really, really bad in recent years. Not just in Seattle but suburbs too. I’m sure there’s some combination of things happening with socioeconomics, DOT management, levels of state, county, city politics, etc., but what happened to our pride of residency? I’m visiting some Midwest cities and they are noticeably cleaner. Should this be a bigger issue?
