Highlighted speaker: Elmer Dixon the Co-Founder of Seattle Black Panther Party (https://depts.washington.edu/civilr/elmer_dixon.htm).

Networking: Meet community members, local organizers, and officials while discussing how we can address community challenges together.

How You Can Help:

A. Donate non-perishable food items at the event. These items will be distributed and given to St. Mary’s and Zion United House of Prayer.

B. Spread the word by sharing this post and inviting your friends, family, and neighbors.

C. Volunteer! We’re always looking for extra hands to help make the event a success. Messaging our IG is the best way to get in touch.

Why this event: I love my community, it’s that simple. My dad was a Vietnam War veteran and my great grandfather would drive people to vote in Enoree, South Carolina in the 40’s using the backroads to avoid racists. This family history has driven me to want better for people.
