Renting and Property Managements in Seattle area

Myself and Partner(starting at UW this fall) looking for apartments or houses (Budget 2.3k for one bed or Two) to rent in Seattle area, especially near Northgate, Lake City, Ravenna, Maple Leaf, Greenwood, Wedgewood, Wallingford, Fremont. Previously we lived in West Seattle, expect for no ac, tiny window we didn’t face major issues. But seeing the bad reviews for apartments in above areas it kind of feels overwhelming. If you guys have had positive or negative experiences renting in those areas please share! Appreciate the effort.
