The Meyden – so many renovations – why?

Hi, we have lived in The Meyden apartment building for quite a few years. In 2026 there has suddenly been a ridiculous amount of renovation work. It seems one ends, like pressure washing and exterior, painting, and then another starts. Now it’s all the amenity spaces being renovated, and the 2 courtyard grills.

Something seems off. Why all this at once now? Is there an impending condo conversion, or something else in progress we’re not being told about? Seems like they are “gussying” up for something. And I have a hard time believing the residents are clamoring for all this stuff.
