Days like today is why people don’t take the light rail

With the closure of the stations on the same day of a mariners home game. The shuttles from westlake to the Capitol Hill station were extremely underserved. Every single bus that showed up to westlake was packed full before it even got to the stop. Leaving people waiting at westlake for a shuttle for more than 40 minutes just to get to the Capitol Hill station. People were very frustrated. Yelling at the transit security (out of frustration) and everyone was visibly upset. There were enough people waiting at the westlake shuttle stop to fill two busses on their own.

Sometimes it really feels like the transportation departments of this city don’t look at any calendars when they plan these kind of service outages or construction projects.
