I have been living car-free for 15 years, but lately I’ve been finding myself looking at used cars on CarMax or Marketplace. I’m in Capitol Hill and work downtown, so I probably wouldn’t use it for commuting to work. But without a car, I feel like I haven’t been able to take full advantage of everything the region has to offer (mountains, forests, beaches, etc.). Plus my dog is getting older and needing a bit more medical attention. Her specialists aren’t close to transit and Uber is getting expensive.
Please tell me how wrong I am. Tell me how expensive your registration is every year, how insurance in Seattle is unaffordable, and how street parking is impossible unless you want to replace your windows every week.
