City Council packed with public commenters signed up to support data center moratorium

54 people signed up to speak in person, 8 remote.

Based on the signup sheet almost everybody is signed up to speak in favor of the data center moratorium.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen so many people signed up to speak in favor of something that the council expected to do anyway (last week the Land Use and Sustainability Committee voted unanimously for the moratorium). Normally when this many people sign up it’s to protest something that City Council is expected to do.
