Today I got a call from (no caller id) somebody claiming to be a Sgt Jonathan Greene working with king county. He insisted that I signed subpoena to appear in court, or that I didn’t appear for jury duty. He was very aggressively trying to get me to pay a bond of 5k over the phone. Intimidated me that a bench warrant would be issued.
Suspect, I went to king county employee database and entered his name, obviously he wasn’t there. He then changed his name saying Jonathan was his middle name. I then asked who his supervisor was (because it’s listed under employee profile) and he immediately got defensive.
I called king county directly and asked if I had warrants. The woman I talked to said “oh is this about missing jury duty? Yeah it’s a scam”.
