Fan from Wales here, loving your beautiful city this week. Just wanted to take some time to appreciate the Pacific Place screenings in the face of a lot of criticism here, especially on rainy days like today. This is my second world cup with my dad who’s quite a lot older, and in the second photo you can see what the fanzone looked like in Qatar- outdoors in nice weather even at night, but absolutely no seating whatsoever so everyone sits on hard concrete, and hardly any places to eat! Add to that stadium style security with no outside food allowed, and a half hour walk to the closest subway station afterwards too. We loved the world cup in Qatar for its atmosphere and hospitality, but Seattle has organised this brilliantly to make it easy for fans to gather comfortably.
